Mesmerizing and wonderfully disorienting take on a familiar biblical story. I particularly love the buzzing drones on Kane’s side, slowly building inside his head, stoking a madness that results in horror. Yet when the voice appears it is like that of a dark angel, understanding what it is to be a flawed human, holding Kane’s hand even as it drips with his brother’s blood. In the end the project reveals two opposed yet complementary aspects of the religious impulse: to obey, and to resist.

Slow heavy Guitar Drone filled with loud guitar strokes. That is basically it. Well there is bit more mastery to it, but what an addictive beast of an album. 2021 needed this.
